there is this apartment right next to the Hollywood Casino in downtown aurora that i want. some people told me not to get it cuz its a bad area but i am not sure. i have never really spent time in that area. anyone know?|||That area is not too great...it's not the worst but by it being right by the casino it has many different people coming in and out of the area. My parents live about 10 mins. away in North Aurora, that is a great area!|||I live in Plainfield, IL Some what near Aurora.
There is a lot of gangs there! But, they do have a nice side too...You just really need to go see for yourself and ask people who live there.|||Hon, downtown Aurora is what you make of it. It can be bad, it is almost completely Hispanic, but being careful is the word of the day. Don't go out at night or after dark and don't forget to lock all doors and windows and keep an alarm on windows and doors to allay any break-ins. I'd live there, but I already have a nice townhouse in North Aurora, near I-88 and the Outlet Mall, just off Farnsworth.|||Downtown Aurora looks nice during the day, but I would not want to live there. At night it is a not so nice place. Only a few blocks away are not so nice places day or night.|||downtown aurora is not that great,,,, there are gangs esp in south aurora, your best bet is looking for a place in NORTH aurora, batavia, geneva or naperville... these are more quiet places and still have things to offer.
