How long does it take to get to Denver from Aurora?

I might be moving to Aurora this summer and I would like to know how long it takes to go to Denver from Aurora because I know that Denver's a huge city with great shopping at everything compared to Aurora.|||Aurora is a huge sprawling suburb. I was there last year and visited a friend who works at the University Hospital in Aurora. Since the University facilities are on Colfax Ave. - downtown Denver is a 20 minute drive if the lights are cooperative. I also visited a shopping center which was still in Aurora except that place was 30 minutes from University Hospital and 50 minutes from Denver. I-225 runs diagonally through Aurora and that road is backed up in the AM and PM because there are only 2 lanes in each direction. My friend took me through back roads to avoid congestion and that took 20 minutes as we left the Hospital.





RTD Light Rail is one option for avoiding some of the traffic.|||Aurora, what?|||Question : Where is Aurora ???|||Aurora surrounds Denver on the East, South East side, both are big area wise, depending on where you are it can take 15-20 minutes (and more) to get the the shopping area by Cherry Creek-Engelwood.


Downtown in rush hour is a different matter.|||Aurora technically borders Denver. Therefore, the smart-*** unhelpful answer is that it takes however long it takes to walk a few feet.





The better answer is that it will be about a 10-15 minute drive to get from most areas of Aurora to the parts of Denver with good shopping (ie Cherry Creek, 16th St. Mall). However, keep in mind that Aurora is actually a really big city, so if you're deep in Aurora or there is traffic it may take longer.





Hope that helped.|||Not long.|||It does not take long to drive from Aurora to Denver, I know because I have lived in all parts of aurora(West aurora to East Aurora.... Everywhere.) I drive to Denver very often and it usually takes me roughly around 15 minutes and that is if i take the freeway.Of course if there is traffic,which there usually is between 4 to 6 it will take alittle longer. If you travel by street it will take you around 10 minutes longer.
