I need to ask and put down some really short %26amp; pretty simple questions (to where I can understand them, as well) about Aurora Borealis for a Tri-Fold Pamphlet project, I'm doing in my Astronomy class. Please help, IF you can! Thanks if you do!|||Simple Qs:
Where can I see the aurora Borealis?
(way up north/south)
"What makes it glow?"
(charged particles interacting with the earth's magnetic field)
"How often does it happen?"
(pretty much all the time, but it's sometimes stronger and sometimes weaker)
"How can we measure it?"
(with some difficulty!)
"Does is just occur on earth, or does it happen anywhere else?"
(Occurs on any planet or moon with a magnetic field)|||What causes them? (charged particles from the solar wind hitting the upper atmosphere)
Where can they be seen? (near the magnetic poles because Earth's magnetic field directs charged particles to the poles)|||There are always the journalist's standby: Who? When? What? How? Why?
